Enjoy Learning English in A Fun Way at Jakarta Public Library

Jakarta Library and Archive Department (Dispusip) launched free English course this Friday (1/11). It was held from 2 PM to 4 PM at Jakarta Public Library, Taman Ismail Marzuki (Ismail Marzuki Park), Jl. Cikini Raya, Cikini, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

This activity is held to facilitate children at school age to learn English in fun way. It is opened for public, especially for elementary, junior, and senior high school students.

Students, Cikini Library Offers Free English Course This Friday!

Jakarta Library and Archive Department's Service and Cooperation Section Head, Tiurma Saragih said, her side cooperates with Aku Bisa book publisher which provides English mentors to teach the participants and also the teaching materials. 

"English is important. We want to facilitate these children to learn English in a fun way, also in new environment," she mentioned, Friday (1/11).

This is one of Dispusip innovations to increase children's joy in reading and learning. According to plan, this activity will be held routinely.

"We will arrange for the next meeting soon. But we want to find out participants' responses first," she said.

Jakartans who are interested to join this English course can come to Jakarta Public Library for registration. People can register individually or in groups.

"Please come and our librarians will assist for its registration. We are also open for schools or groups who are interested to register," she explained.
